The Dreamland Ballroom was built in 1863. It was originally called the "Hall By The Sea" and, at the time, was one of the largest ballrooms in the country.
It is now a part of Dreamland Fun Park, a seaside resort that opened in 1920. The amusement park is famous for having the United Kingdom's oldest rollercoaster, The Scenic Railway.

It is rumored that the ghost of 'Lord' George Sanger roams the park and visits the "Hall By The Sea." Sanger died in tragic circumstances in 1911, aged 86.
